I have to plug my event on this blog, as I am bringing a sensational Swedish act to Toronto, ITALOVE!! I am excited to announce this event and hope to bring even more Swedish artists. Please come and relive the 80s!!!

Revival Music presents A Totally Rad Throwback Thursday Retro 80s Party, an affiliate WorldPride 2014 event during PRIDEWeek, with honorary guest DJ BPM from California who will take you back to the 80s and spin sweet sounds from the Euro/Italo Disco, Eurobeat, Synth-Pop, HiNRG, New Wave, and Nu Italo genres.

If you are unfamiliar with Nu Italo, it’s because it’s a rare find to hear this style music in the Toronto dance scene. A melodic, catchy and synth-based genre. Nu Italo is based on Italo Disco and has a definite 80s flavor that originates from Europe. Notable artists include Modern Talking, Bad Boys Blue, Fancy, Savage, Ken Laszlo and Fred Ventura. This music is sure to make you sing and dance like no one else is around!
